Project to Promote Gender Equality in the Iraqi Nationality Law

Women_Leadership_Institute, as part of the project to promote gender equality in the Iraqi Nationality Law, held an important meeting with a number of local and international organizations to discuss discriminatory legal articles against women within the law.

The meeting discussed the challenges facing women in obtaining their legal rights, in addition to reviewing the necessary suggestions and recommendations to amend these articles. This project aims to enhance legal awareness and develop policies that guarantee women’s rights and equality in Iraqi society as part of the global campaign for equality in nationality rights
