Honoring the Director of the High Commission for Human Rights in Baghdad

The Women Leaders Institute honored Mr. Wissam Al-Rubaie, Director of the Baghdad Office of the High Commission for Human Rights, by awarding him the Shield of Excellence and Creativity. This took place during an official visit by a delegation from the Institute, headed by Ms. Iman Abdul Rahman, the Institute’s President, to the Baghdad Office, as part of efforts to strengthen communication and cooperation with official institutions.
This honor was bestowed in recognition of the outstanding efforts of the Commission’s office in supporting community initiatives and enhancing mechanisms for joint work with civil society organizations, thereby contributing to the consolidation of human rights principles and the support of humanitarian causes in society.
The Institute’s President emphasized that this initiative stems from the Women Leaders Institute’s commitment to honoring individuals and institutions that play an active role in serving the community and promoting a culture of human rights.
For his part, the Director of the Baghdad Office expressed his deep gratitude to the Women Leaders Institute for this generous initiative, praising the Institute’s role in supporting community work. He also stressed the importance of strengthening partnership and integration between official institutions and civil society organizations to achieve shared goals in the field of consolidating human rights principles.
