Women Leadership Institute participated in a specialized workshop on Early Childhood Education, organized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in cooperation with the European Union and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) as part of the Iraqi Civil Society Education Forum (ICSEF), held in Baghdad, Iraq.
The workshop brought together numerous civil society organizations from different Iraqi governorates and focused on several key themes, including early childhood education, advocacy, and early childhood development strategies, as well as the role of civil society organizations in shaping education policies and promoting inclusive and equitable educational opportunities for all.
This participation provided an important opportunity to exchange experiences and build professional partnerships with key stakeholders in the education sector, while also discussing major challenges and opportunities related to advancing education in Iraq, particularly in the field of early childhood. These efforts contribute to supporting a more inclusive and responsive education system that meets the needs of children and local communities.
