Shouldering responsibility

As part of the “Women’s Leadership, Empowerment, Access & Protection (LEAP) project” in Iraq, supported by UN Women and the Government of Japan, the Women Leadership Institute’s Kirkuk Safe Space carried out a focus group discussion with 16 women on October 3, 2019.The session tackled “Shouldering responsibility” and means to teaching individuals, including children, how to shoulder responsibility.LEAP project aims to strengthen the resilience of refugees and host communities by providing immediate and essential services to women affected by conflict, including access to economic opportunities and effective multi-sectoral services, protection mechanisms and empowerment support.
